“This course was born out of my own direct experience several years ago. I always enjoyed wine and was keen to improve my knowledge, but was extremely busy working in investment banking. I wanted a short, intensive and effective course to really boost my wine appreciation fast and well. I scoured the globe for this, but had to settle for a composite of experiences, highlights of which were the rigor and systematic approach of the WSET, the social prestige of the Sotheby’s and Christie's courses, and the relaxed fun of informal tastings. Ultimately I could not find a course that packed the best elements of all of these into one. So I decided to create such a course myself, aimed at others who, like me, seek to learn more about wine in a way that’s serious and effective, but also enjoyable and fun!” — Nicole Rolet, proprietor, La Verrière & Chêne Bleu wines.
Chêne Bleu’s resident wine maker, Jean-Louis Gallucci, will conduct the winery-based sections of the course, including the assemblage seminar and its viticulturalist, Bénédicte, will oversee the activities in the vineyard
